Going to Tucson for my yearly trip to visit my Mom. If you haven't been there, you might be surprised that this city is a pretty decent travel destination.
We will be staying at the Westward Look Resort and plan to eat at Janos while there. On every trip, we go to Tahono Chul for breakfast.
When not eating, I will be beer hunting.

Had a pretty good trip. We went to Tombstone which was cheezy, but informative. Its about 85 miles southwest of Tucson and takes about 1.5 hours to get there. The restaurants there aren't the greatest and it is definitely a tourist trap.
We also went to Trail Dust Town in Tucson. Wouldn't recommend that unless you have kids. The Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse is pretty awful and the "stunt show" is incredibly dorky.
We ate at Tohono Chul (one of our favorites), but things have changed a little now that they apparently have new owners. We ate at La Parrilla for the first time - I have read/heard good and bad reviews for this place, but I thought it was excellent. We tried to go to Janos, but they were closed on Sunday which was the only day we could go.
We stayed one night at Westward Look Resort which I thought was very nice, especially for the price.
After 4 days in Tucson, we went to Mesa for a couple of days. I really don't like Mesa. There is nowhere good to eat and nothing to do. I guess that is expected in a town full of old folks.
