Nana Entertainment Plaza (NEP) is a red-light district in Bangkok, and although not as famous as Patpong, it is a popular destination for those interested in sex tourism. It is located on Sukhumvit Road Soi 4 across from the Nana Hotel, within walking distance of the BTS Skytrain's "Nana Station". It started out as a restaurant area in the late 1970s. During the early 1980s go-go bars began to appear and gradually replaced the restaurants. Now, the 3 floor u-shaped plaza is home to some 40 go-go bars and a couple of beer bars. Nana Plaza is also famous for the kathoey (transgender) bars.
