Formerly a low-income, working-class quarter of Amsterdam that was scheduled to be demolished in the 1970's, this district offers many courtyards, art studios, stone tablets, canals, shops and monuments. This neighborhood is popular for students and artists and is a good place to stroll through. The Jordaan is located from Prinsengracht west to Lijnbaansgracht street, south to Leidsegracht and north to Brouwersgracht.

A nice neighborhood to walk through.. Not a ton to see, but some interesting shops, galleries, and other things to check out.
