At De Kas we firmly believe that food tastes best when it is prepared using the freshest ingredients, grown and harvested with respect for nature. De Kas has its own greenhouses and garden near the restaurant, where we grow Mediterranean vegetables, herbs and edible flowers. We also have a large field about 10 kilometres from Amsterdam in the Purmer Polder, where we grow seasonable vegetables outdoors.
De Kas serves one fresh, daily menu. The fixed menu is based on what we've harvested that day, and always consists of a selection of three small starters, followed by a main course and a dessert. For vegetarians our chef is happy to prepare a special vegetarian menu.
