Perched high upon a forty-foot dune, Nippers overlooks the Great Abaco Barrier Reef. Walk upstairs to one of two viewing and dining areas and be blown away by 360-degree views of the Island at fifty-five feet above sea level. Nippers offers lunch and dinner seven days a week, three hundred and fifty days a year. We had a lot of problems on our trip to Great Guana, but for me Nippers and their staff (among a few other locals) salvaged our trip. Anthony and Nadice (sp?) took incredible care of us. We made the mistake of going off-season and the island was DEAD. Anthony kept Nippers open as late as we wanted to be there, invited us to a poker game with his friends, and got us drunk. Nadice is one of the nicest people you might ever meet, brought beer to us at our house and hung out with us on our deck a couple of times. We literally spent more time at Nippers than we did at our house (for many reasons). The bar itself is actually like a divey beach bar (best of both worlds for me). It is fairly large with 2 pools, a nice beach below, internet access, and is one of the few places on the island that serves food. During high season, it gets very crowded on Sundays when they have their BBQ.
