La Playa Lounge
La Playa Lounge located on Black Coral Street & Beachfront [In front of San Pedro Express Water Taxi] in San Pedro on Ambergris Caye, Belize, has set a new standard in the arena of elegance in “Flip Flops” that until their opening was un-seen in the country of Belize. Reminiscence of an ultra relaxing uber-sheik Mediterranean lounge spot. Sit back or lounge around in the open-air environment perfectly lit and listen to music, watching the TV or projected themes & Black & White Silent Movies, as you converse and spend time with old friends and make new ones. There are also tables for dining.

La Playa lounge features an excellent choice of light appetizers ranging from the usual bar food such as chicken wings to burgers and continental snacks. La Playa Lounge is by far one of the most popular spots for tourists and locals alike to mingle and meet.

This bar is beautiful, outside living room set up right on the beach. The food is very good, the drinks were strong and the service was perfect. This was by far my favorite bar on the island. The owner was very cool and so were all the people that worked and hung out there.

We spent a couple of hours here one afternoon in 2007. Very cool open air bar with sand floors and loungy furniture. There were some old salty dogs that did magic tricks for our young niece and nephew and an older kid babysat them for a small fee. My sister was having problems with swimmers ear, but the Island Supermarket was a ways away, especially with the heat. The owner drove me to the store in his golf cart. Very nice of him! The menu is somewhat limited making this a better choice for drinks.
