A lot of travel guides will tell you that you absolutely have to eat here to get exposed to Belizean cuisine, but this place is a tourist trap and not worth the time since there are so many better places to eat. The food was average at best and the restaurant is very crowded. The service and ambiance inside were good, but the food leaves a lot to be desired compared to everywhere else we ate.

I would imagine there were something to the hype at some point for Elvi's kitchen. Maybe it has outgrown itself, but we found it to be average mexican food. It reminded me of the typical restaurant you might have in your hometown of a combination plate choice bland mexican restaurant. Sorry, for all those that love it there!
