In 1985 when Ed Giddings started building Club Cascadas de Baja, he realized the necessity of having a place to house employees coming from the mainland of Mexico to work at the resort. In his inestimable charm and style, he and his son Mark created Casa Pablito named after Mark whose middle name is Paul, hence "Pablito". Over the years Casa Pablito has served well the original need, but last year Pat Giddings and her long-time friend and employee Chela Niño decided that Casa pablito should come into its own and become a small bed and breakfast hotel. With Ed Giddings architecture, Pat's love of "all things Mexican" and Chela's background in club hospitality, a charming 15 suite hotel has been created. Each suite has a small kitchenette and full size refrigerator. All suites face into a courtyard with a profusion of bouganvillea accenting the bright pink, blue and orange walls reminiscent of the old haciendas throughout Mexico. The view is of the desert hills surrounding Cabo San Lucas, and the ambience is enhaced by the gracious Mexican charm of Chela Niño and her daughter Mireya.
