Isla Mujeres is home to giant sea turtles, which lay their eggs on its soft sand from May to September. After years of hunting these animals, Mexican Federal Laws protect them. The turtle farm takes in injured turtles and raises many others which are then released into the wild. Isla Mujeres´ turtle farm is located on the southern part of the island, and supported by Mexican government and private funds.

This place is GREAT, especially if you like turtles and realize that this organization is helping to repopulate them. They have several big tanks, each with turtles at a different age. There is also a very small indoor aquarium with a few animals. It will probably only take you an hour or less to get through this, but it is definitely worth checking out.
