La Habichuela has been legend in Cancun since 1977, when Armando Pezzotti opened the restaurant in what was once his home. Today, La Habichuela is celebrated worldwide. Wow, this place is simply amazing.. One of the top 5 restaurants I have ever been to (and that is a lot). Their dining room is very nice, but you have to sit outside in the garden. It is the most romantic and beautiful setting I have ever seen in a restaurant. The food is fabulous too. It is mostly local style, but very gourmet. The service was spectacular and they put on a real show by making flaming drinks at your table, and even made the caesar salads from scratch at the table - never seen that before. This place has won a ton of awards and after experiencing it, you will understand why.
