Gold Restaurant
GOLD at Westward Look Resort offers a new and contemporary culinary adventure. Our menu concept, created by the resort’s Executive Chef, James Wallace, blends fresh and innovative contemporary American cuisine with a touch of desert-inspired flavor.

The interior décor dazzles with its elegant colors, fabrics, and artwork. Every detail was crafted to perfection from the furniture and tabletops to each accessory. Gold, along with other metallic colors like shiny copper and smooth pewter, are highlighted to create a scene of modern elegance.

The GOLD menu offers fresh, creative fare made from quality ingredients. Meals are beautifully plated in artistic fashion. The first-class wine selection also contributes to the prestige of the menu.

The space boasts incredible panoramic mountain and city views through its wall of windows in the dining room.

My mother and I each had the Sonoran Cobb Salad which was grilled chicken, charred tomatoes, avacado, bacon, Queso Fresco, and chipolte ranch dressing mixed in. $13 Other: w/beef tips $14; w/tofu $14. I remembered this salad from some years back before the restaurant changed and then it was much larger and better with added fresh flower (edible) and other ingredients grown from the restaurants' grounds. The warm rosemary sour dough bread and raisin walnut bread in a basket with prickly pear butter was very good. For dessert we split the "bomb" which the menu describes as three chocolates/espresso creme anglaise. This is a firm chocolate ball with chocolate mousse inside topped with raspberry puree and with a 6" cookie sticking out of it like a sail, decorated with chocolate and sliced strawberries on the plate. The dessert was rich and good. The coffee was very good.
Sitting outside on the balcony terrace overlooking the swimming pool below and the spectacular view of the Santa Rita Mountains in the distance while listening to the birds sing was most peaceful and the weather was delightful in May.
I would rate the experience a 3 for the food and another 1/2 added for the serenity and scenery.
