Hanakapiai Falls is estimated to be somewhere between 300 and 410ft high. To get there requires a four-mile, strenuous hike from the Kalalau Trailhead in Ke'e Beach to Hanakapiai Valley on the Na Pali Coast. Hanakapiai Beach will appear along the trail about two miles in. Here the trail turns inland and follows the stream up to the falls. This portion requires some serious hiking and is not for the casual hiker. Never attempt the trail in the rain as the stream is prone to flash floods.
Camping is available at the falls, however, there is a long waiting list to obtain a permit.
