Located at the very end of Hwy 560 on the north shore, Ke'e Beach is said to be the most visited beach on Kauai. The famed Kalalau Trail that traverses the Na Pali Coastline begins at the western end of the beach.

When swimming and snorkeling, keep in mind to avoid getting too close to the far left side of the beach where currents can pull you around the point without a way to get back.

The problem with Ke'e Beach is the limited parking. They have added some parking since we first went, but it is still not enough. This is not a big beach and it can get crowded even with the limited parking. It is kind of strange that is gets as busy as it does since it is pretty far away from most of the hotels and condos. But it is at the end of the road on the north shore and perhaps people just drive until they can't go any further and stop.
Now if you can find a parking spot and it is not crowded Ke'e is a nice beach. It is semi protected and offers good snorkeling by Hawaii's standards. On calm days swimming can be very good. This is the last beach before the Na Pali trail so the scenery is interesting.

This could be the greatest place on earth, but its no good if you can't see it. When we tried to go there, it was so crowded that there was absolutely nowhere to park. Bummer...
