This is one of the longest and most popular beaches on the island and is fronted by resorts. It is good for swimming, surfing, and snorkeling (especially at Black Rock). Public restrooms and showers are also available.

The fact is - if you have ever seen the beaches in places like the Cook Islands, Eleuthera, etc - Maui's beaches suck in comparison. I've been to Kaanapali Beach a couple of times and it is probably the best beach on the island, although it does get crowded. This was one of the better snorkeling spots that we found as well..
