7 of us stayed here many years ago and I doubt anything has changed since. Like the GIlligan Island theme song goes.. "No phone, no lights, no motor cars, not a single luxury."

We stayed for just one night and took a lagoon cruise there to drop us off. If you stay more than one night, there will be lagoon cruises that stop by for a couple of hours everyday. The rest of the time, the motu is all yours.

The shack is a dump with stink thin matresses and we even had a big rat running around, but when you step out onto that incredible beach, you forget all about the place you will only sleep in.

There is excellent snorkelling right in front of the shack, there is a sand bar way out in the lagoon that you can walk to, and beautiful views from every vantage point.

Do as I say, not as we did. Don't forget your food! There is no way to contact anyone if you are missing supplies or even if you get hurt. We showed up with 3 bottles of gin and left the food at the motel. There were chickens running around, but we didn't have the heart or sobriety to kill one. At least we had the gin.

Overall, this is a once in a lifetime experience if you can rough it.
